Makers of Paragon issue statement about Java

The makers of the Paragon 5 system, LPS MLS Solutions, issued the following statement about the interaction of its product and Java. January 14, 2013 Paragon MLS Customers, A few media outlets (Good Morning America and several web articles) have been reporting security issues with Java. We want to remind and reassure you that Java is no longer required for the Paragon MLS system. These reports and articles advise users to disable Java on their systems. NAR calls REALTOR complaint site a scam; warns agents against use

The National Association of REALTORS has called the website Realtor-Complaints.com a “Scam Complaint Site,”  in a recent post on its blog, and is warning agents not to pay to have “false” complaints removed. Read that post here: Don’t Let Your Reputation—or Your Wallet—Fall Prey to Scam Complaint Site. NAR’s article says that the “web site of suspicious origin is misusing the REALTOR® trademark in what seems to be an attempt to get money from real estate practitioners.” The article goes on to site the investigative work conducted by an East Coast MLS and an NAR attorney that debunks the legitimacy of the “complaint” site. Paragon downtime announced for Jan. 15 & 16

Hello all, The Paragon tech team announced that software corrections will be applied to NNRMLS’ Paragon 5 system on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. This process will result in downtime for the system beginning at 9 p.m. PST and concluding no later than 4:00 a.m. PST on Wednesday, January 16, according to Paragon’s team. During this time, the Paragon MLS system will be unavailable for access. Paragon to discontinue support for Internet Explorer 8

The Paragon tech team announced recently the end of its support for the Internet Explorer 8 and Opera browsers. Citing an “ongoing decline” in usage of Internet Explorer 8 and “extremely low” usage numbers for Opera, LPS MLS Solutions, the makers of Paragon 5, says it will halt support for both on February 4, 2013. The firm will continue to support on a “rolling basis” what they term as the “most recent” versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer 9 & 10. Entering Supra KeyBox Serial Number & Shackle Code

Are you wondering how to manage your Supra lockbox settings in Paragon? The following article will discuss how to enter the Supra KeyBox Serial Number & Shackle Code for your listing into the MLS. First click on the Listings icon, and the Listings link from the resulting dropdown under the Maintain heading. Primary photo upload now available in listing input & maintenance

Paragon 5 users can now upload their listing’s primary photo directly from the input maintenance page. The square shaped placeholder box that appears in the left corner of the listing maintenance page is actually a link that allows the user to upload a single image. Here’s how: 1. Email the Paragon Bing map as a PDF attachment

NNRMLS Paragon 5 users can now email the Bing Map report to their clients as a PDF attachment. This is part of an enhancement employed by the Paragon tech team on Dec. 12, 2012. Here’s how to to utilize this great new feature: 1. In Paragon bring up a list of properties and select the listings you would like to email 2. Click the Email button in the light blue toolbar 3.
